Sensei Bob Budihas

Sensei Bob has been practicing and teaching karate for more than 45 years with several senseis. Sensei Budihas trained in Japanese Goju Ryu under Richard Ramirez in 1963 at the age of eleven, till the late 60s. Studied Mo Duk Quan and Shotokan karate for a few years.

In 1971 Mr. Budihas training under Sensei Walter Johnson in Harlem Union Dojo, N.Y.C. where he earned the rank of Shodan in U.S.A. Goju Ryu Karate Do. Sensei Johnson moved to Georgia in 1977. Sensei Luis Tillman also from the same dojo had a strong influence in his training in and out of the Dojo, they all moved but still keep in contact with each other.

In the early 1980s Sensei Budihas got the privilege to train with Sensei Frank Payne in Judo, Ju-Jitsu and can say he is not only a sensei but also a good friend and still attend each other’s dojos’.

Sensei Budihas trained in Okinawan Goju Ryu under Sensei Teruo Chinen, at Jundokan International of Florida Dojo with Sensei Martinez for more than ten years.

Sensei Budihas has trained with numerous Sensei's and have received rank from some of the most respected Sensei’s, in the world. His rank has been recognized and or he has received recognition from Sensei: Walter Johnson, Peter Urban, Teruo Chinen, Johnny Pachivas, Frank Ruiz, Michael De Pasquale, Manny Saavadra, Larry Pizzi, John Giordano, Humberto Garcia to name a few.

Sensei Budihas opened up a dojo at 2755 S.W. 37th Ave. / Miami, Fl. where he teaches three hours a night, five nights a week at the same location since 1977. He has trained in various systems but he has continuously practiced Goju Ryu Karate. Sensei Budihas always has found the time to train with his peers, and his students. When Sensei Budihas is asked are you a Master his answer is “I am a student of martial arts.”

Sensei Budihas has appeared in numerous magazines, newspaper articles, on TV and the radio. He has competed in hundreds of martial art tournaments and has been state champion more than ten times. Sensei Budihas holds titles from Professional Karate League national and regional, A.A.U., Florida Black Belt Association, F.A.M.E., and World Wide Karate Organization. Sensei competes in weapons, kata, and fighting still.

He would like to be remembered as a loving husband, a teacher who has changed in a positive way hundreds of student lives, a man willing to work hard but smart and a person who has left this world a little better than it was before he was here.

Sensei Renzo

Sensei Renzo has been practicing and teaching karate for more than 40 years with several senseis.

Sensei Hernandez started training in South Florida in the style of Juai Kung Fu a style that focuses on animal characteristic, flexibility, agility, parrying and evasive movements that flow together, back in 1970.

Sensei Renzo Hernandez soon found an interest in Goju Ryu Karate. Goju Kai a Japanese style under Sensei Gosei Yamaguchi. Twelve years of intense training.

Sensei Renzo Hernandez opened a school in North Miami, Florida where he taught Goju Karate for about five years until the building was sold.

Sensei Renzo Hernandez continued in training now in Okinawan Goju Ryu under Sensei Teruo Chinen at Jundokan International of Fl. Dojo with Sensei Martinez for over twenty years. Sensei Renzo Hernandez has assisted in training, demos, running martial art tournaments and competing in AAU tournaments.

Sensei Renzo Hernandez is a black belt in Judo, Karate, and a fitness trainer. Presently teaching at 2755 S.W. 37 Ave. Miami, Florida 33133. Sensei Hernandez has strong family values and encourages students to have respect to others and become good citizens in the community. Sensei Renzo Hernandez always has patents and is understands with both children and adults. Sensei Hernandez is bilingual speaking Spanish, and English fluently.
